Noah demonstrates a developing understanding of design thinking processes. He engages thoughtfully during investigation phases but would benefit from more detailed documentation of his design decisions. His final product showed creativity, and with stronger criterion-based evidence, his grades will reflect his evident capabilities.
Zoe consistently produces outstanding work across all four MYP criteria. Her investigation is thorough and well-documented, her design ideas are creative and clearly justified, and her final products demonstrate excellent craftsmanship. A pleasure to work with in the workshop.
Jackson is a capable designer who brings enthusiasm to making tasks. His investigation phase is solid, though his design journal could better reflect the iterative process. Encouraging him to photograph and annotate each prototype stage will strengthen his Criterion C and D evidence considerably.

This week in Grade 8 Design Tech, students completed their product evaluation phase for the Deconstruction & Redesign unit. Highlights included some remarkable user-testing sessions where students invited Grade 5 buddies to try their redesigned products and give honest feedback. Watching students iterate based on real user input was a genuine classroom highlight!
